Privacy Policy

Privacy choices built in

Pawy Academy does not require an account. Learning data and preferences stay on your device, while optional Analytics and independently controlled Crash Diagnostics help us improve the App.

Last Updated: July 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how UIXLY AS handles information when you use the Pawy Academy mobile application (the App).

Pawy Academy does not require an account. Your completed and saved lesson lists, measurement preference, privacy choices, and other App preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not sync those lists to UIXLY servers or create a cloud learning profile. If you opt in to Analytics, individual lesson-completion events may be transmitted as described below.

/ 01

1. Who is responsible for your data?

UIXLY AS is the data controller for the processing described in this policy.

2. Information handled by the App

Information stored only on your device

The App stores the following information locally:

  • completed lesson identifiers;
  • saved lesson identifiers;
  • measurement and App preferences;
  • your Analytics and Crash Diagnostics choices; and
  • current quiz answers while needed for the quiz experience.

The App does not require your name, email address, phone number, or an account. Current quiz answers are not uploaded to UIXLY and are not retained as learning progress after the relevant quiz session. The completed and saved lesson lists are not uploaded as a synced profile, although an individual lesson-completion event may be sent if you have allowed Analytics. Local App data remains under your device's control and can be cleared. Copies may remain in device backups controlled by you or your platform provider.

Analytics information — only if you opt in

Google Analytics for Firebase (Analytics) is off unless you opt in. If enabled, Analytics may collect:

  • App interactions and events, such as lesson completion and session activity;
  • App and device information, such as App version, device model, operating system, language, and platform;
  • pseudonymous app-instance, Firebase installation, device, and session identifiers;
  • approximate location, such as country or region, derived from technical connection information; and
  • limited purchase-related events, such as the subscription product identifier and whether a subscription flow started or completed.

We do not send your lesson answers, name, email address, payment-card details, or precise location to Analytics. Pawy Academy is configured not to collect advertising identifiers. We do not use Google Signals, advertising personalisation, Google Ads linking, or Analytics audience exports for advertising.

Crash diagnostic information — enabled initially

Firebase Crashlytics (Crash Diagnostics) is enabled initially so that we can detect, diagnose, and fix crashes and serious technical failures. Crash Diagnostics may automatically collect:

  • crash stack traces, exception details, timestamps, and relevant application state;
  • App bundle identifier, App version, and whether the App was in the foreground or background;
  • device model, operating-system version, CPU architecture, available memory and storage, and rooted or jailbroken status;
  • pseudonymous Crashlytics installation, Firebase installation, and session identifiers; and
  • technical delivery metadata used to operate and maintain the diagnostic service.

We do not attach names, email addresses, user-account identifiers, or developer-defined personal information to crash reports. When both Analytics and Crash Diagnostics are enabled, Crashlytics may receive breadcrumb events describing App interactions immediately before a crash. Google documents the data collected by Crashlytics in its Firebase privacy and security information.

Purchase information

The app store through which you obtain the App processes Pawy Premium purchases, restorations, billing, and subscription management. The App receives store-provided product and entitlement information needed to show the offer and unlock Pawy Premium. UIXLY does not receive your full payment-card or bank-account details.

If you have allowed Analytics, limited subscription funnel events may also be recorded as described above. Your store provider processes store and payment information under its own privacy policy and terms.

Information you send us

If you contact UIXLY, we receive the contact details and message content you choose to provide. We use this information to answer your request, provide support, and meet any applicable legal obligations.

External links

The App may open privacy, legal, store-management, or other external pages in your browser. The destination provider may receive ordinary web-request information, such as your IP address and browser details, and handles that information under its own privacy policy. UIXLY is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party destinations.

3. Why we process information and our legal bases

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we rely on the following legal bases:

You may withdraw Analytics consent or object to Crash Diagnostics at any time as described below. Neither choice changes your access to lessons or Pawy Premium.

4. Your privacy choices

Analytics

Analytics is off unless you choose to enable it. You can opt in to or opt out of Analytics at any time through privacy controls available in the App. Opting out stops future Analytics collection and does not limit the App or affect your lessons, local learning progress, preferences, or Pawy Premium.

Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing performed before withdrawal. Data already transmitted is handled under the retention rules below. Google documents these controls in Configure Analytics data collection and usage.

Crash Diagnostics

You can opt out of or re-enable Crash Diagnostics independently through privacy controls available in the App. Opting out stops future collection and does not limit the App.

You may also object by emailing hello@uixly.io. Crash reports already transmitted remain subject to the retention rules below. Google explains Crashlytics collection controls in its Crashlytics documentation.

/ 05

5. Service providers and sharing

We do not sell personal data. We do not use App data for cross-app or cross-site tracking, targeted advertising, or advertising measurement.

UIXLY uses Google Firebase and Google Analytics to provide Analytics and Crash Diagnostics. Firebase customers generally act as controllers, while Google generally acts as a processor for Firebase customer data under the applicable Firebase Data Processing and Security Terms. Google Analytics is also subject to its applicable service terms. Google may use authorised subprocessors to operate these services.

We require service providers acting on our behalf to protect personal data and process it only for the agreed purposes and in accordance with applicable contracts and law. We may also disclose information where required by applicable law, a valid legal process, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Your store provider receives and independently processes App download, purchase, restoration, and payment information under its own terms and privacy policy.

/ 06

6. International data transfers

Google and its subprocessors operate global infrastructure, so Analytics and Crash Diagnostics information may be processed outside Norway and the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States.

Where European data-protection law applies, transfers are covered as applicable by an adequacy decision, a recognised data-transfer framework, or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and supplementary safeguards. The applicable Firebase terms describe these transfer mechanisms. See Firebase Privacy and Security, the Firebase Data Processing and Security Terms, and Google's legal frameworks for data transfers.

You may contact us to request more information about the safeguards applicable to your data.

/ 07

7. Retention

  • Local App data: retained on your device until you clear it, subject to any device backups controlled by you or your platform provider.
  • Analytics: user-level and event-level data is configured for retention for up to 14 months. Turning Analytics off stops future collection but does not immediately erase data already received by Google. Google may retain aggregated standard reports beyond the user-level and event-level retention setting; UIXLY does not use those reports to identify an individual App user.
  • Crash Diagnostics: Firebase Crashlytics keeps crash stack traces and associated identifiers for 90 days before beginning removal from its live and backup systems. Unsent reports on your device are deleted when you disable Crash Diagnostics through the App.
  • Support and privacy communications: retained only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, keep an appropriate record, resolve disputes, or comply with law.

We may retain limited information longer where necessary to comply with a legal obligation or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. Google's official Analytics retention documentation explains the Analytics setting, and Firebase Privacy and Security describes Crashlytics retention.

/ 08

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information and risks involved. Learning progress and preferences stay on your device. Firebase services encrypt data in transit, logically isolate customer data, and apply access controls; Firebase also states that Crashlytics data is encrypted at rest. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

/ 09

9. Your data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • obtain information about and access to your personal data;
  • correct inaccurate personal data;
  • request deletion of personal data;
  • restrict certain processing;
  • receive certain data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests; and
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

To exercise a right, email hello@uixly.io. We may ask for information reasonably needed to understand and verify your request.

Because Pawy Academy has no user accounts and Firebase records use pseudonymous installation or app-instance identifiers, UIXLY may be unable to connect a specific Firebase record to you without enough identifying technical information. We will assess each request and use the tools reasonably available to us. Your local learning data is controlled directly through your device as described above.

You may complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet). Datatilsynet recommends contacting the controller first where possible:

These rights are described in the official text of the GDPR.

/ 10

10. Children's privacy

Pawy Academy does not require an account and is not designed to collect names, contact details, or profiles from children. If Analytics consent is required and you are not old enough to provide valid consent under the law that applies to you, a parent or guardian should make that choice. Analytics remains off without affirmative consent.

If you believe a child's personal data has been handled inappropriately, contact hello@uixly.io so that we can investigate.

/ 11

11. Automated decisions

UIXLY does not use the information described in this policy to make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.

/ 12

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the App, our providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and make the revised policy available through the App and on the Pawy Academy privacy-policy webpage. If a change materially affects processing based on consent, we will request new consent where required.
